Through our 4 programs – Refugee Education, Scholarships, Entrepreneurship  and Career Development — we have impacted the lives of over 15,000 children and youth through creating diverse and meaningful educational pathways in the Middle East, US, UK, Europe, and Asia; trained over 2,000 entrepreneurs; and empowered over 600 businesses and startups through mobilizing over 23million USD in global support. Our specialized and committed team of 25 staff and 50 frontline educators work passionately to empower and elevate generations of Syrian youth.

The MENA region faces significant youth unemployment, with Syrian refugees experiencing notably high joblessness (UNHCR, 2023) due to language barriers, limited educational opportunities, and job experience. Discriminatory employment policies in many host countries further compound such challenges(OCHA, 2019).

Upskilling initiatives have proliferated in the region, but with no clear evidence of securing youth employment. Our Career Development Program addresses this gap by directly connecting Syrian talent with income generation, building targeted skill sets, and creating innovative employment pipelines to bridge the opportunity gap.

About the Role

Jusoor’s Career Development Program is seeking a dynamic and dedicated trainer committed to enhancing career pathways for Syrian youth. The Social Media Management Trainer Consultant will be working on specific role training, providing CDP youth with the necessary skills to thrift in their career. 
Primary duties and responsibilities
1. Designing a detailed training curriculum, including modules, learning objectives, materials, and activities tailored to the needs of youth/students that focus on the core responsibilities of social media managers.
2. Delivering training sessions (in-person and/or online) as per the agreed schedule. that equip participants with the skills to develop strategies, create content, schedule posts, engage with audiences, and analyze performance metrics.
3. Provide guidance and support to participants to help them apply the skills learned in real-world scenarios.
4. Evaluating the effectiveness of the training through feedback and assessment tools and making necessary adjustments.
5. Preparing and submitting a final report detailing the training activities, outcomes, and recommendations.

Key Training Modules
The training program will cover the following modules:
- Social Media Strategy Development: Techniques for developing effective social media strategies and content calendars.
- Content Creation: Best practices for creating engaging posts, images, and videos for various social media platforms.
- Content Scheduling: Strategies for scheduling and publishing content across different channels.
- Audience Engagement: Approaches for monitoring and responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
- Performance Analysis: Methods for analyzing performance metrics and adjusting strategies to improve engagement.
- Content & Copywriting: Share the best practices on copywriting social media captions, product captions for ecommerce, blog writing, and creating copy for landing pages.
- SEO and Web Presence: Share the best SEO practices to make your website rank higher on Google, share how to create a simple landing page with visual elements. Developing SEO strategies on SEMrush or various platforms and keyword research.
- Paid ads: Share the best practices of media planning and reporting on various advertising platforms such as Meta, Google, and LinkedIn.

Eligibility

- Access to a computer or laptop and high-speed internet
- Fluency in Arabic, oral and written
- Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
- Ability to work in a team and capacity to work on own initiative
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment with gender-sensitive behavior and attitudes

Required Skills and Experience

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development, specifically in the area of social media management.
- Proven expertise in social media strategy, content creation, audience engagement, and performance analysis.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills.
- Experience in developing and delivering customized training programs.
- Relevant academic qualifications in marketing, communications, or a related field.
