Scholarships for Syrian Youth
Only six percent of refugees globally are in higher education. Only five percent of Syrian refugee children are in high school. With millions of gifted Syrian women and men unable to attain a university degree or high school diploma, Jusoor’s Scholarship Program builds bridges between the potential of young Syrians and opportunities for further education.

Our Projects
Jusoor’s flagship scholarship program, the 100 Syrian Women program provides scholarships to Syrian women to study at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the UK, Europe, and North America.
Jusoor launched its Hardship Fund Project in 2016 to provide gap funding to students enrolled in undergraduate and master programs at academic institutions outside of Syria who are at risk of dropping out because of financial need. To date, the program has supported 44 students who have been provided one-time financial assistance of up to $5,000, which the students can use toward university tuition and fees. The funds are awarded as a loan without interest, with an individual repayment plan developed for each student. Returned funds will support new students in the future.
Helping high school students between the grades of 10–12 in Lebanon by covering school fees, transportation, extra classes, aid with university applications, and psychosocial support, allowing talented young Syrians in Lebanon to finish high school studies.
Jusoor-UWC Scholarships provide partial grants to exceptionally bright and civic-minded young Syrians to enable them to attend one of 18 United World Colleges around the globe. At UWCs, students receive a pre-university education through the International Baccalaureate Diploma program.
