Rami Zaatari

I was born and raised in Aleppo, Syria. I studied Economics, Banking and Finance, and MSc Economics at the University of Aleppo. I attained an MSc in Global Economy and a PhD in Green Economy from the University of Glasgow. Since 2008, I have worked at various United Nations agencies in Syria and Lebanon, and Local Governments in Scotland. I am the Regional Economic Projects Manager for the Glasgow City Region Project Management Office based at Glasgow City Council. My role is to drive the development and delivery of a number of key regional high-profile programs and projects and to support the long-term ambitions for the economy of Glasgow City Region including the Glasgow City Region Economic Strategy and Economic Recovery Plan. I am also a Tutor and Guest Lecturer in MSc Global Economy and Economic & Social History at the University of Glasgow.
