Fares Maan Khalil

My name is Fares Khalil, and I used to live in Banias, Syria. I finished the Baccalaureate in Syria in 2023, and began my journey in UWC East Africa in August 2023. If I were to describe myself, I would say that I am a many-sided person. I love doing many things at once and I hate routine. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing the piano, football, and table tennis. I am also a member of several volunteering associations, one of which is Fada association where I actively participate in different initiatives related to the environment, Gender-Based Violence, time management....etc. I aim to learn as much as I can and to gain knowledge in many different fields. In particular, I plan to specialize more in biology or physiology at a prestigious university. I also aim to keep music a special addition to whatever I do and keep evolving by learning new techniques. Although my interests and choices can change with time, what I know for sure is that I want to develop my personality from all aspects, and gain skills and knowledge that will help me make a positive change in the world.
