This month, we hosted an unforgettable Gala in San Francisco, received the highest transparency recognition from Candid, and took a major step forward in Syria with our Bridges to Syria initiative. Read on for all the details and ways to get involved.
A Night of Hope in San Francisco

Earlier this month, the Jusoor community came together at the Golden Gate Club in San Francisco for an unforgettable evening of reflection, art, and generosity at our Hope Through Education Gala. The night brought together a meaningful fireside chat on the needs and opportunities for displaced children, an inspiring art auction featuring works from Levant artists, and a captivating musical performance by Lebanese violinist Maria Bassil and Moroccan DJ Sami Ihsane.
Most importantly, we unveiled our new initiative, Bridges to Syria, marking a pivotal step in Jusoor’s journey. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to this evening’s success in supporting education for Syria’s future leaders.
Jusoor Earns Candid’s Platinum Transparency Seal

We are proud to announce that we have once again earned the Platinum Transparency Seal from Candid, an impartial organization that assesses how non-profits use their funds, govern themselves, and reach other various benchmarks. The Platinum Seal is the highest level of recognition offered by Candid for nonprofit transparency and accountability. This distinction reaffirms our commitment to responsibly stewarding funds and delivering impactful programs.

Bridges to Syria: A Defining Moment for Jusoor

The time has come for our bridges to extend into Syria. This month, we officially launched ‘Bridges to Syria’, our next chapter in expanding education initiatives inside Syria. Since launching less than a week ago, we have received an overwhelming response—hundreds of supporters have engaged, filled out forms, and reached out, reaffirming the community’s eagerness to contribute to Syria’s future.
To keep the momentum going and our commitment to transparency, we will be sending two additional emails per month related solely to ‘Bridges to Syria’, alongside our regular monthly newsletter. If you prefer not to receive these, you can update your preferences at the bottom of the email.
We’re Hiring: Country Director in Syria

As we take our next steps inside Syria, we are looking for a talented and experienced Country Manager to lead and expand our education programs. If you know someone with deep expertise in Syria’s education landscape, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of Syria’s needs and challenges, please share this opportunity with them.
