Jusoor Graduations in 2024! Primary School to University Degrees

We celebrate the end of the year and graduations in our three refugee education centers, as well as, the graduations of four of our scholars
Jusoor students and alumni celebrate their graduation

The start of summer is always an exciting time for holidays, endings, and new beginnings and this summer is no different!

Our Refugee Education Program organized three events to celebrate the end of the academic year, as well as the graduation of our primary students with our children, parents, and teachers at our centers in Bourj Hammoud, Jurahiya, and Jeb Jennine in Lebanon.

Our young learners shared this achievement with their peers and families in an atmosphere filled with celebration, performances, and joy! Some are moving on to regular schools, while others will continue in our centers in the next academic year. We couldn’t be prouder of our young learners who have made it through the year!

We are also celebrating the graduation of several scholars. We couldn't be prouder of Hadi Althib for graduating with a BSc in Psychology. Hadi was a Jusoor scholar during his Bachelor's at the University of Essex Online, and he is now studying for his MA in Childhood Studies at the University of Essex in the UK as a prestigious Said Foundation Scholar. Hadi has been exemplary in paying it forward and giving back to his community — he has not only supported other Jusoor scholars and alumni through authoring a Mental Health Manual featuring self-care strategies, but he is also leading content development for our Parent Psychosocial Support intervention in our Refugee Education Program.

Our hearts are also filled with pride of three of our international high school scholars graduating this month!

Nour Khayou graduated with an IB Diploma from United World Colleges (UWC) Mahindra College in India. Nour has now successfully received a full scholarship and is aiming to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience & Psychology at Macalester College. Husain Ali graduated with an IB Diploma at Woodstock School and Teachers Training College. He has received a fully funded scholarship at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada, and was admitted to the Faculty of Science, passionately aiming for a combined major in Pharmacology and Biotechnology.  Finally, Hussain Bu Subayt graduated with an IB Diploma from United World Colleges East Africa and will pursue a Computer Science or Software Engineering degree at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in KSA.
