The Startup Roadshow is Jusoor's flagship Entrepreneurship project, and it aims to develop the business and entrepreneurial skills of Syrian and host community entrepreneurs in Jordan, Lebanon, Turkiye, and Iraq. The project provides the best training, coaching, resources, and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs to flourish.
Jusoor's Startup Roadshow 4, which started just by the end of 2022, held several hackathons in person, over multiple days, countries, and cities. Starting off in Jordan (Amman and Irbid), and then in Lebanon (Beirut and Tripoli).
The Hackathons brought together entrepreneurs from Syrian and host communities, providing them with crucial training, mentorship, and networking opportunities, as well as preparing them to participate in SR4's next step, the incubator. Additionally, the participants got the opportunity to meet and connect with like-minded individuals and potential partners.
The Roadshow's purpose is to assist entrepreneurs in bringing their ideas to life and making them a reality. Contestants are now equipped with the essential skills and knowledge to advance to the next round thanks to our incredible coaches and workshops.
Overall, the participants received 40 hours of training sessions, including tech tools and mentoring. In Jordan and Lebanon, there were 263 entrepreneurs and 108 ideas and businesses. These hackathons were geographically diverse, happening in Amman and Irbid in Jordan, and Beirut and Tripoli in Lebanon.
We celebrate the innovation and creativity of our community with 85 new ideas that made it to the incubation phase, where most of them were tech startups!
