Our latest Entrepreneurship Program project ‘Disruptors: Nurturing Tech Startups’ has reached its final milestone on Tuesday, November 19 in Amman, Jordan with a Demo Day featuring pitches by six finalist startups to a panel of judges, business experts, and investors.
The event ‘Scaling Opportunities: 10 Years of Disruption’ marked the culmination of the Disruptors project in addition to the ten-year anniversary of the launch of Jusoor’s Entrepreneurship Program.
Launched in April 2024, Disruptors brought together 38 promising tech startups based in Jordan and Türkiye to expedite their path to becoming investable startups. This project addresses the current market challenge of identifying investable ventures effectively by providing comprehensive support and resources.
The intervention included a startup bootcamp in each country, incubation programs with group training sessions, personalized consultations with industry experts, extensive networking opportunities, seed money prizes, and an EOCCS program-accredited certification to affirm their market readiness and appeal – all culminating to this moment, the Demo Day, where the six finalists pitched their businesses before our esteemed judges:
- Luma Fawaz, CEO of Oasis 500
- Tamer Al Salah, Managing Director at BeyondCapital
- Reem Khamis, Portfolio Manager at 500 Global
- Natasha Abu Khader, Investment Associate at Oryx Fund
